Our Mission....
The mission of Calvary Baptist Church is to fulfill the Great Commission given by the Lord Jesus Christ before He ascended into Heaven. Jesus commanded His followers to go into all the world and make disciples. This mandate of our Lord is the driving force behind every aspect of our church. We endeavor to point people to the Savior using a wide array of ministries. All the ministries of Calvary Baptist Church are designed to exalt the Savior, edify the saints, and reach out to our world with the message of Christ.
Our church believes that by grace are we saved through faith and this is preached from our pulpit. Calvary Baptist is a Christ-honoring and Bible-believing family of faith that lifts up Jesus so that all men might be drawn unto Him.
Deacon Ministry
“If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.” John 12:26
Our deacon body serves with the pastor and staff in performing church ministries. The deacons are a decisive part of the spiritual, policy, program and membership issues of the church. Currently seven men serve as deacons and one man serves as deacon emeritus for Calvary Baptist Church.
CHURCH COUNCIL
The church council serves as an advisory body to the church. The pastor may solicit counsel and input from the Church Council to review and coordinate programs and to evaluate program achievements in light of church goals and objectives.
